Man in court after shoving officer

A 31-year-old man, arrested in connection with a case of assaulting a police officer and driving under the influence of alcohol, is to be charged before the Larnaca District Court on Monday.

According to police, around 4pm on Sunday, the 31-year-old parked his car outside Kiti police station and entered the premises intoxicated.

While speaking to a constable on duty, the 31-year-old allegedly attacked the officer and shoved him in the chest, resulting in his arrest.
