Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar retired from the sport almost 11 years back in November 2013. He has plenty of records which are still untouched like most number of runs in Test cricket, ODI cricket, most international runs and most international centuries.

In addition to these, Tendulkar continues to be one of the richest cricketers in the entire world. The former India captain has a net worth of over Rs 1400 crore and it just keeps on increasing day by day as well.

Tendulkar’s net worth is still way ahead of India’s current star cricketers like Virat Kohli with Rs 1,000 crore, MS Dhoni with Rs 1,050 crore and Indian captain Rohit Sharma with Rs 214 crore. Former India cricketer Ajay Jadeja has also joined this list recently, with net worth of Rs 1,450 crore but only because of his inheritance since he has been the named heir to the title of Nawab of Jamnagar.

But from where is Tendulkar’s net worth still increasing? In 2020, Tendulkar’s net worth was Rs 835 crore and in just 4 years it is over Rs 1,400 crore now.

The answer to Tendulkar’s bulging net worth is his brand endorsement deals which he continues to hold even years after his retirement. Tendulkar endorses companies like Luminous, Boost, Unacademy, among other top companies which have been regularly increasing his brand endorsement fees.

Tendulkar retired from Test cricket after 200 matches with 15,921 runs at an average of 53.78 with 51 centuries and 68 fifties. In ODIs, Tendulkar scored 18,426 runs in 463 games at an average of 44.83 with 49 centuries and 96 fifties.

He will be seen back in action soon, leading the Indian team in International Masters League 2024, which will get underway from November 17 to December 8th. Apart from Tendulkar, other cricketing legends like Kumar Sangakkara, Jacques Kallis and Brian Lara will also be seen in action in this tournament.

The captains for the inaugural IML 2024 season are…

India: Sachin Tendulkar

West Indies: Brian Lara

Sri Lanka: Kumar Sangakkara

Australia: Shane Watson

England: Eoin Morgan

South Africa: Jacques Kallis
