The Nation's Weather
The Nation's Weather for Monday, October 21, 2024
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Showers are on tap tomorrow for much of the Pacific
Northwest, especially in areas from the Cascades west.
Northern Idaho and western Montana can expect some rain and
showers as well. There can still be some high-elevation snow
in the Washington Cascades, especially above 6,000 feet.
Showers and thunderstorms will span across the Plains from
the Texas Panhandle and western Oklahoma, into central
Kansas and Nebraska. Lightning from thunderstorms in
Oklahoma, Kansas and southern Nebraska can potentially spark
new wildfires. Across these areas, it will also be breezy to
windy during the day; this can also aid in sparking
wildfires where it remains dry. King tides and strong
onshore flow along the Southeast coast can lead to coastal
flooding, beach erosion, rough surf and rip currents.
