WHO certifies Egypt as malaria-free

Egypt has been certified as malaria-free by the WHO after nearly a century of efforts. This historic achievement required proving interruption of malaria transmission for three years and preventing its re-establishment. Egypt will continue vigilant efforts in sustaining this milestone.
