“Not a jot, not a letter,” Tom said when moderator Josh Horowitz asked if any of them had seen a script for the upcoming third season.

“The longer they take, the longer we don’t have to read anything for a while. ”

“I’ve not heard hide nor hair,” Matt added. “I don’t know about you guys. I’ve not heard a thing — have you?” he said, looking at Fabian.

“I’ve heard some things that I couldn’t possibly share here,” Fabian teased.

The news comes neraly two months after George R.R. Martin took to his personal blog to air grievances about Season 2 and tease events allegedly coming up in the final two seasons of House of the Dragon, which is based on his book Fire & Blood.

He then deleted the post.

“There are few greater fans of George R.R. Martin and his book ‘Fire & Blood’ than the creative team on ‘House of the Dragon,’ both in production and at HBO,” an HBO spokesperson said in a statement at the time.

“Commonly, when adapting a book for the screen, with its own format and limitations, the showrunner ultimately is required to make difficult choices about the characters and stories the audience will follow. We believe that Ryan Condal and his team have done an extraordinary job and the millions of fans the series has amassed over the first two seasons will continue to enjoy it.”
