The Prince George Spruce Kings have acquired defenseman Trent LeDrew (’05) and Future Considerations from the Blackfalds Bulldogs in exchange for defenseman Aidan Souligny (’06), and the BCHL rights to Jared Langdon (’06).

LeDrew is a 6’2, 192-pound defenseman who is in his fourth season of Junior Hockey. Last season in Blackfalds, LeDrew scored 4 goals and added 8 assists in 47 games.  Prior to joining the Bulldogs, he played 103 games for Brockville of the CCHL and 18 games for Wisconsin of the NAHL. He is from Windsor, Ontario.

Souligny played in 27 games for the Spruce Kings over two seasons, putting up 1 goal and 6 assists. In 4 playoff games last season, he had 1 assist.

“Some changes are required to shore up certain areas of our team,” said Spruce Kings General Manager Mike Hawes, “Trent is a player we’ve been trying to acquire for a while. We’re thrilled that it worked out. He will be able to play key minutes for us in all situations.”
