Afghans protest outside Iran’s Embassy in London over migrant killings by Iranian forces

Last week, Halvash, the Iranian human rights organization, reported the killing of dozens of Afghan migrants by Iranian border forces in the Kalgan area of Saravan County, located in Sistan and Baluchistan.

Iranian officials denied the shooting of the migrants, but the Taliban has appointed a committee to investigate the incident.

The news of the shooting has sparked widespread reactions from human rights organizations and Afghan citizens, who have condemned the alleged actions.

This protest follows ongoing reports of mistreatment of Afghan refugees by the Iranian government, including harassment, torture, human rights violations, and the failure to protect refugees. Protesters also highlighted the lack of mechanisms to hold authorities accountable for these abuses.
