VERNON VIPERS ANNOUNCE SIGNING OF DEFENCEMAN EDVIN NILSSON

Vernon, BC:  The Vernon Vipers are excited to announce the signing of 2005-born defenceman Edvin Nilsson.

Nilsson, a talented defenseman from Tranas, Sweden, joins the Vipers after spending last season with the Green Bay Gamblers of the USHL and previously competing in the J20 Nationell League in Sweden. In 34 games, he registered 14 points and also earned the distinction of playing with Sweden’s U18 National Team.

The Vipers’ Head Coach Lukas Lomicky shared his enthusiasm for the addition:

“We were targeting and looking to find an experienced, mobile puck-moving defenceman who could add more offense to our back end. We believe Edvin brings those qualities to our team, and we’re thrilled to have him on board.”

Standing at 5’11” and weighing 183 pounds, Nilsson is a left-handed shooter who promises to bolster the Vipers’ defensive corps with his playmaking ability and offensive contributions.

Nilsson also expressed his excitement about joining the Vipers, stating:

“I’m really excited to join the Vernon Vipers. I’ve only heard great things about the organization, and I’m looking forward to putting on the Vipers jersey. I hope my play can help the team.”

In addition to his commitment to the Vernon Vipers, Nilsson is also committed to playing at the University of Massachusetts in the future.
