New Delhi: A drone attack was carried out at the residence of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Caesarea on Saturday, October 19. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his family were not present at the place at the moment of the attack. The Israeli intelligence and the IDF believe that Lebanon-based Hezbollah was behind the attack.

Commenting on the same, Netanyahu’s spokesperson said he was not in the vicinity and there were no casualties in the attack on his residence.

“A UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) was launched toward the prime minister’s residence in Caesarea. The prime minister and his wife were not at the location, and there were no injuries in the incident,” the prime minister’s office said in a statement.

A few hours after the drone attack, Prime Minister Netanyahu appeared in a video in which he said that nothing could deter them (Israel) from winning the war.

“We are continuing our battle with Iran’s other terrorist proxies. Well, two days ago we took out Yahya Sinwar, the terrorist mastermind whose goons beheaded our men, raped our women, burnt babies alive. We took him out. We are going to win this war,” he said in the video.

On being asked if something could deter him, Netanyahu responded with a straight “no.”

In a statement released online, the Iranian military has confirmed that Hezbollah was involvement in the attack.

Meanwhile, Hezbollah said that it had fired rockets into northern Israel, including at a military base near Haifa, following reports from the Israeli army of a barrage of projectiles launched from Lebanon.

The Lebanon-based group claimed that a large salvo of advanced rockets struck a military facility east of Haifa, as it vowed to intensify attacks on Israel.

Hezbollah said that it launched rockets at the northern town of Safed as the Israeli army reported that 115 projectiles struck Israel on the same day.
