After Massive Display by Sarfaraz Khan and Rishabh Pant, India’s match looks weak as New Zealand needs just 107 to win 1st Test

The Indian team put their heart and soul and gave all their effort to turn the tables against New Zealand during the 1st Test in Bengaluru. They, however, are looking to be lacking off as the visitors just need 107 runs to win this opening Test of the three-Test series.

Sarfaraz’s knock of a century and a half, along with the 99-run knock by Rishabh Pant were the main highlights of the game, but after them India saw a collapse that ended their game at 462 runs.

India was trailing by 125 run, at 213/3 when Day 4 started for their inning. The team needed big numbers which was made by the batting pair of Sarfaraz Khan and Rishabh Pant. The explosive batting duo made a solid partnership of 177 runs, and secured India back in the game.

Sarfaraz scored his maiden Test century, which he continued on to turn it into a century and a half. Rishabh Pant also missed his century by just a single run. However, both of these plays were played extremely carefully.
Them being dismissed put the Indian team in a state of pressure once again.

The visitors now only need 107 runs to secure a win, as they have a whole day to play, which does not sound tough job to do. Indian team on the other hand would need a miracle with the ball to pull this match back in their hands.
