EAC target of cyberattack, third in two days
The Electricity Authority (EAC) successfully averted a cyberattack on Friday night, chairman of its board Giorgos Petrou said on Saturday.
Petrou told the Cyprus News Agency that this was the third cyberattack in the past two days.
The EAC, he said, was continuously monitoring the security of its systems and has adopted tight measures to protect its digital infrastructure.
He added that “we have developed strong protocols to avert and address possible cyberattacks.”
“The security and uninterrupted operation of our services remains our top priority,” Petrou said.
