Limassol composer Stelios Pisis dies at 48

Limassol composer Stelios Pisis, who was suffering from muscular dystrophy, has died at age 48.

Stelios Pisis started playing the piano at age five, during the time he was being diagnosed with muscular dystrophy.

He wrote music and songs, worked with well-known artists and received awards.

On June 25, 2024, President Nikos Christodoulides inaugurated ‘Stelios Pisis’ park in Yermasogia, Limassol, just a few metres from the composer’s home.

His death was announced by his mother Aglaia on social media on Friday night.
