Happy Friday, Athletics Nation!

Earlier this week, Mick Akers at the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported that three outstanding agreements between the A’s and the Las Vegas Stadium Authority would be presented at a meeting on Thursday.

Stadium authority chairman Steve Hill has reportedly reviewed A’s owner John Fisher’s financial position and stated that he has confidence that Fisher can hold up his end of the stadium project’s financing. Fisher has also said that the financing plan will be out “for everybody to see” soon, and apparently that is now slated to happen at a December 5 stadium authority meeting.

If a transparent, legitimate stadium financing plan is made public soon, it could to some extent dispel some observers’ suspicions that this whole scheme is but a mirage within a pipe dream. We’ve known Fisher to move the goalposts from time to time in the past, so any A’s fans wanting to move to Vegas with the team should definitely wait for Fisher to show us the money before putting money down on a new home in a new town.

Schools over Stadiums remains skeptical of the whole deal.

Meanwhile, actual baseball is still being played as the ALCS and NLCS continue. With the Guardians’ huge comeback walk-off last night, Cleveland has a shot at evening their series at Progressive Field against the Yankees. The Mets, however, face elimination after a second straight eight-run loss at Citi Field. Both series continue today, one week away from the World Series opener.

Have a marvelous weekend, AN.
