Dow jones edges up 37 points as tech stocks take center stage

NEW YORK, New York - Tech stocks drove U.S. markets higher on Friday with all three indices closing out their sixth consecutive week of gains.

The big driver was Netflix, which confounded analysts with much greater numbers of subscriptions than the market had been anticipating. Netflix shares closed up $76.24 or 11.09 percent at $763.89.
