Local wine veteran Van der Merwe appointed as president of intl body

South Africa Wine Industry Information and Systems executive manager Yvonne van der Merwe has been appointed as the first woman president of the International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV). The South African wine industry celebrates her appointment as she is the first woman to hold the position since the organisation’s inception in 1924.
