SC recalls 2022 verdict declaring benami law provisions unconstitutional

The Supreme Court overturned its 2022 decision declaring two provisions of the benami property law unconstitutional. The court agreed with the Centre that the constitutional validity of the provisions couldn't be decided without an active contest, allowing a fresh adjudication.
