Aldi Shopper Finds Strange Surprise in Chicken Breast

Many Aldi shoppers go to the growing grocery chain to stock up on chicken and other meats for cheap. One visitor recently got more than they bargained for when they found an earbud in a package of raw chicken breasts. 

"Shoutout [to] Aldi for the free earbud I got in my chicken breasts yesterday," the person wrote on Reddit with a photo of the shocking find. "Found this baby tucked between two chicken breasts in the pack I opened yesterday. Didn't know Aldi started selling electronics too."

Commenters chimed in with jokes about how the earbud got there and even wondered if the chicken itself was responsible for its presence. "I wonder what that chicken was listening to," one person wrote, with others replying "'I Believe I Can Fly,'" "'Free Bird,'" and "'Another One Bites the Dust.'" 

Another person quipped that it was a return to food packaging of the past. "You’re all not seeing this for what it is. Physical prizes are returning to our food! That was then highlight of morning time at our house. Getting a prize in the cereal box. They upped their game putting in electronics," they wrote. 

"I work in food. The gals in my kitchen threw a fit when word came down from corporate that we couldn’t have earbuds in while working. Gonna print and show this pic around," another said. 

Others gave more serious advice on how to proceed. "Don’t eat that chicken. Return it and take photos of chicken package, date stamp that should include [the] plant that processed [the] chicken, [and] photos of [the] earbud and send that to corporate Aldi offices," one user advised. 

If you find any unwelcome objects in any grocery store purchases, your best plan of action is to bring it in for a refund or replacement. It's unlikely whatever you find, like an earbud, will work anyway.
