Omar Abdullah's J&K Cabinet passes resolution to restore statehood

In its inaugural cabinet meeting held on Thursday, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah's administration passed a resolution calling on the National Democratic Alliance (NDA)-led central government to reinstate statehood for Jammu and Kashmir, according to media reports.
