Harry Styles Releases Statement on Liam Payne's Death: 'I Will Miss Him Always'

Harry Styles is speaking out with an individual statement following the death of his former One Direction bandmate Liam Payne.

Liam tragically died at the age of 31 on Wednesday (October 16) after falling from the third floor of his hotel in Argentina.

The four living members of 1D released a joint statement on Liam‘s passing on Thursday and they’re also all putting out their own individual statements.

Harry remembered Liam by sharing a photo of him looking out at a crowd in a packed stadium. He added his statement to the second slide of his Instagram post.

“I am truly devastated by Liam‘s passing,” Harry began. “His greatest joy was making other people happy, and it was an honour to be alongside him as he did it.”

Harry continued, “Liam lived wide open, with his heart on his sleeve, he had an energy for life that was infectious. He was warm, supportive, and incredibly loving. The years we spent together will forever remain among the most cherished years of my life. I will miss him always, my lovely friend.”

He concluded, “My heart breaks for Karen, Geoff, Nicola and Ruth, his son Bear, and all those around the world who knew and loved him, as I did. – Harry.”

Liam‘s family has also released a statement on the tragic news.
