No. 3 A&M Consolidated jolts to life, runs away from Hendrickson 55-14
AUSTIN (KXAN) — It looked good early on for Hendrickson, but then A&M Consolidated came to life.
After trailing 7-0 at the end of the first quarter, the No. 3 Tigers exploded for 55 points to run away from the Hawks 55-14 in 5A-Division I high school football action Thursday at The Pfield in Pflugerville.
Hendrickson quarterback Pete Vallejo put the home team on the board with a 23-yard run near the end of the first quarter, but A&M Consolidated took over after that. The Tigers built their lead to 55-7 until the Hawks found the end zone again on a 6-yard pass from Andrew Fowler to Brayden Mueller late in the fourth quarter.
A&M Consolidated led 48-7 after three quarters and stays undefeated with the victory.
Hendrickson (3-5, 2-4 District 15) has lost four consecutive games and takes on Kyle Lehman on the road next week. A&M Consolidated (7-0, 5-0) hosts Cedar Creek next week.
