Saratoga New Year's Eve announces music lineup
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- The headliners and musical acts for the Saratoga New Year's Eve event have been announced. Emmy-nominated Ben Folds will help festivalgoers ring in the new year alongside other nationally recognized artists.
In 2022, Saratoga First Night was rebranded to Saratoga New Year's Fest. In July 2024, the festival was rebranded again, becoming Saratoga New Year's Eve. The two-day festival is set for December 31 and January 1, 2025.
The celebration is set to kick off with a free outdoor concert on Ellsworth Jones Place and a fireworks display from the top of the Saratoga Springs City Center from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on New Year’s Eve. Those with Saratoga New Year’s Eve tickets can enjoy more live music at several downtown venues after.
Headliners
- Ben Folds, a singer-songwriter-composer, who will close out 2024 and welcome the new year at his performance at the Saratoga Springs City Center
- Mystic Bowie's Talking Dreads will perform as the headlining act at the Universal Preservation Hall with reggae and ska.
Other performances include Los Sugar Kings, Dogs in a Pile, Lindsey Kraft, and Tops of Trees. Live entertainment will be offered at multiple downtown Saratoga Springs venues including the Saratoga Springs City Center, Universal Preservation Hall, Caffe Lena, and Putnam Place.
Tickets will go on sale Tuesday, Oct. 22 at 10 a.m. for $25 online at the festival's website. The festivities will conclude on New Year’s Day with the Saratoga First Day 5K, a fun and healthy tradition for runners and anyone looking to start 2025 off right.
