Schenectady man arrested for child sex abuse images
SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- A Schenectady man was arrested on Thursday following a search warrant of his home. Ryan Marx, 32, faces multiple felony charges.
State Police received a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children accusing Marx of having and sharing images consistent with child sexual exploitation. Troopers, alongside the Troop G Computer Crimes Unit, the Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and the Town of Rotterdam Police Department, executed a search warrant of his home.
Charges:
- Promoting a Sexual Performance by a Child, a class “D” felony
- Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child, a class “E” felony
After his arrest, Marx was processed at the Princetown State Police Barracks. He was later transported to the Schenectady County Correctional Facility awaiting arraignment.
