Harris, Trump target specific voting blocs

WASHINGTON (NEXSTAR) - The presidential candidates are working to push voters to the polls.

In the final stretch of this campaign each side is focusing their attention on winning over new groups of voters.

All of the major polls show it's a tight race where even small margins could make a difference.

"We have to get out and vote. We have to win, win, win,” said Trump.

The candidates are making appeals to voters that may traditionally side with the opposite party.

Vice President Kamala Harris is campaigning with Republicans in swing state Pennsylvania and is sitting down for an interview Wednesday night on Fox News.

"Ours is a campaign that is about fuel from the power of the people, and about building community and building coalitions,” said Harris.

Former president Donald Trump is making a play for key voter groups with two targeted town halls, Wednesday night speaking directly to Hispanic voters at an event hosted by Spanish language network Univision.

"Hispanic Americans, Latino Americans they're Americans, right? And so, under the Trump administration America was better off,” said Rep. Carlos Gimenez (R-Fla.).

Fox News aired a town hall with the former president on women's issues where he answered questions about abortion.

"Now it's working its way out in the states. Nobody wanted it to be in the federal government,” said Trump.

Harris blamed Trump for the strict abortion laws in many states.

"The reality is his actions have been very harmful to women and families in America on this issue,” said Harris.
