To the editor: Levy needed to continue services for our growing senior population

As many readers know from personal experiences with family and friends, the number of older residents in Lucas County is growing rapidly. In fact, people age 60 and older will comprise nearly 25 percent of the county population by next year — that’s more than 98,000 people.
