Woman killed in shooting at Pineville apartments; suspect at large
PINEVILLE, La. (WNTZ) — A 27-year-old woman was fatally shot Wednesday night at the Cleco Drive Apartments in Pineville, police reported.
Officers responded to the scene at 500 Cleco Drive around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, where they found Monashia Marzett dead from a gunshot wound. Investigators said three individuals were present in the residence at the time of the shooting.
Police have identified Jacorius Issac, 23, of Alexandria, as the suspect. Issac reportedly fled the scene in a 2014 white Nissan Altima, Louisiana license plate MH15363. A warrant has been issued for his arrest on murder charges.
Issac, described as a 5-foot-tall Black male weighing approximately 130 pounds, is considered armed and dangerous. Authorities are urging the public not to approach him but to contact law enforcement immediately if spotted.
