JUNO: China has a new lab, 2,300 feet underground, to solve a physics mystery

China has constructed Juno, an underground lab in Kaiping, Guangdong province, to study neutrinos and solve the mass hierarchy problem. Costing $311 million, the project involves 750 scientists worldwide and aims to advance particle physics within six years despite geopolitical challenges.
