Jared McCain Hospitalized After A Nasty Fall Wednesday Night
Rough night for the rookie
Jared McCain has made a big impression with the Philadelphia 76ers so far. He’s shown a lot of heart and soul and his natural charisma has made him a fan favorite.
None of this is news to Duke fans of course. We got a good dose of it in Cameron last season and he became - and we think will remain - a fan favorite.
But the NBA is a league of very large, very powerful men and sometimes they collide.
And that’s what happened to McCain Wednesday night against the Brooklyn Nets. He went up for a rebound and had a collision with Shake Milton. McCain fell and landed on his back. Although he left the court under his own power, he was clearly having trouble breathing and was taken to the hospital. Last we heard, he was being analyzed for a concussion.
Obviously it was a scary situation but we hope that he’s okay and will be back on the court soon.
