Trump’s fiery spokesman ducks ‘Apprentice’ star's 'specific' medical questions

Donald Trump's spokesman fired back at former "Apprentice" star Omarosa Manigault Newman for questioning the former president's health and fitness.

Newman, who served as director of communications for the Office of Public Liaison during his presidency, called on journalists to ask specific questions about Trump's cardiac health and recalled instances during her White House tenure when he forgot the names of Cabinet members and important policy details, but the GOP nominee's spokesman Steven Cheung issued a statement disputing those recollections.

“President Trump has more energy and more stamina than anyone in politics, and is the smartest leader this country has ever seen," Cheung said in the statement issued to Raw Story. "He does multiple public events every single day and the public can see he is sharper and more focused than ever before because the future of America is at stake. Contrast that with the stupidity and incompetence of Kamala Harris that is on display and is an embarrassment to the rest of the world."

Newman also questioned the former president's "bizarre" spectacle Tuesday night in Oaks, Pennsylvania, where he abruptly ended a question-and-answer session during a town hall event for a 40-minute impromptu dance party as supporters streamed out of the venue.

"It really shows that Donald Trump has nothing to say to America," Newman said. "He has nothing to offer to America. All he has to offer is weird swaying and dancing. And at a time like this in this nation, we need more than just that. And he cannot deliver."

Cheung vehemently disagreed in his superlative-laden statement.

"People know President Trump is the strongest and most capable candidate," Cheung said. "He has out-worked and out-paced Kamala. The Democrats and Kamala are the ones who are diminished because of all the hurt they have caused this country. From skyrocketing inflation, an out-of-control border, and crime decimating American cities, there is only one person who can bring our country back to prominence — President Donald J. Trump.”
