'Battle of the Badges' in Schenectady to support American Red Cross
SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Schenectady Police Department and Schenectady Fire Department are joining forces to raise awareness for the need for blood donations in the "Battle of the Badges" on Wednesday. The two agencies will compete in a blood drive held with the American Red Cross from noon to 5 p.m. inside Key Hall at Proctors.
The agency with the highest volume of donated blood earns bragging rights for supporting an important cause amid a national blood shortage. The event is open to the public and you can sign up using the QR code below:
Those interested should sign up as soon as possible. There is limited availability and organizers will need time to fit everyone in.
