Ravena man arrested for possessing child sex abuse images
RAVENA, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- A Ravena man was arrested on Oct. 11 following an investigation into child sex abuse images. Christopher Noto, 39, faces multiple felony charges.
Noto is accused of promoting and possessing images consistent with child sexual exploitation. According to Troopers, an investigation into Noto was started by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
His arrest followed an investigation and the execution of a search warrant for his Ravena house. Latham State Police, the Troop G Computers Crimes Unit, the Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security assisted in Noto's arrest.
Charges:
- Promoting a sexual performance by a child, a class D felony.
- Possessing a sexual performance by a child, a class E felony.
He was processed at the Latham State Police barracks before being arraigned at the Coeymans Court. Noto was later released under the Albany County Probation Department's supervision.
