Jazeera Airways extends Kuwait-Cyprus flights year-round

0

Jazeera Airways announced the extension of its flight programme connecting Kuwait and Cyprus to operate year-round, aiming to strengthen Cyprus’ connectivity with other countries in the Arab Peninsula.

The Kuwait-Larnaca flight will run twice a week until March, with services continuing through the summer season.

During a meeting with Jazeera Airways’ area manager for the Levant and Egypt, Madonna Hoyek and with the director of Sky Masters, the airline’s representative in Cyprus, Antonis Orthodoxou, Deputy Tourism Minister Costas Koumis welcomed the decision and highlighted the importance of enhancing Cyprus’ links with the region.

He also expressed optimism about the impact this extension could have on tourism.

Koumis also briefed his counterparts on the deputy ministry’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the island’s flight connections. He stressed that the ministry is engaged in open dialogue with stakeholders and is eager for collaborations aimed at promoting Cyprus as a year-round tourist destination.

Koumis called on all parties involved to contribute to the collective effort to improve and showcase the country in this capacity.

Hoyek confirmed that Jazeera Airways sees Cyprus, and specifically Larnaca, as a destination suited for year-round tourism, thanks to its favourable weather and diverse experiences.

She added that the airline plans to leverage the extended flight programme to further boost Cyprus’ connectivity with other countries in the Arab Peninsula, contributing to the island’s wider regional links.

Koumis confirmed that the cooperation between the deputy ministry and Jazeera Airways would continue.

“The positive intentions shared by both parties will lead to favourable outcomes for the island’s tourism sector,” he said.
