Corsair upgrades high-end gaming headset with Virtuoso Max Wireless

0

Corsair turned heads last year with its Virtuoso Pro, a new wired headset that featured 50mm graphene drivers. A year later, the tech company is back with an upgrade to the line called the Virtuoso Max Wireless. The set of cans still spotlights those drivers designed to impress with its audio fidelity, but the company made the latest model more complete with wireless connections, active noise cancellation and two options for PC and Xbox players.

The Virtuoso Max also boasts subtle RGB touches if you’re into that type of lighting. It’s available but more staid, so it doesn’t make your head look like a light show. Along with ANC, the peripheral also has a transparency mode and supports Dolby Atmos. When it comes to software, the device pairs with Corsair’s Sonarworks SoundID that “tailors the headset settings based on each user’s tastes and hearing perception,” according to the news release.

The company said the headset can handle marathon gaming sessions with up to 60 hours of play while the wireless connection is done through a 2.4Ghz and Bluetooth. All of this tech comes at a steeper price. The Virtuoso Pro sold originally sold for $199.99 and has been lowered to $89.99. On Best Buy, the Virtuoso Max is priced at $329.99.
