Acadia Parish authorities identify subjects involved in apparent murder-suicide

ACADIA PARISH, La. (KLFY) -- The Acadia Parish Sheriff's Office has released the names of the two people who were killed in a Saturday shooting that is believed to be a murder-suicide.
Dashayla Ardoin, of Mamou, and Glenkeithan Robertson, of Opelousas, died in the incident, police said.
According to a news release, the Acadia Parish deputies were dispatched just after 7 p.m. Saturday to White Oak Highway in northeast Acadia Parish. Deputies found two people dead from gunshot wounds.
Investigators believe the shooting was a murder-suicide. The incident occurred as the two subjects were traveling to the Mamou area. There were no other passengers in the vehicle, police said.
The incident remains under investigation.
