'Raining glass' injures girl, 9, and man in Queens: NYPD
FLUSHING, Queens (PIX11) – A glass panel shattered, injuring a 9-year-old girl and a man in Queens on Monday, according to the NYPD.
It happened on Beech Avenue around 6 p.m. The 1-by-4 panel broke on the balcony of a residential building and "rained glass," police said.
A 45-year-old man and the 9-year-old girl suffered back and neck pain. They didn't have any cuts on their bodies, according to authorities.
They were both taken to North Shore University Hospital.
It's not known if the glass shattering was related to wind, police said. PIX11 News reached out to the Department of Buildings for comment.
