Local Yankees fans head to Game 1 vs Cleveland Guardians
RENSSELAER, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A number of New York sports teams played games Monday.
The Mets are in Los Angeles to take on the Dodgers in Game 2 of the National League Championship Series. They're hoping to bounce back from their loss in Game 1.
The Yankees hosted the Cleveland Guardians in Game 1 of the American League Championship Series Monday evening. Dozens of Capital Region fans went to the Bronx for the game.
A Yankee Trails bus picked up fans at their headquarters in Rensselaer and made stops at Crossgates Commons in Guilderland before heading to Yankee Stadium. The fans were already fired up and ready long before the first pitch.
"We missed the playoffs last year, so we're charged up. It's been 15 years since we won the World Series. Eight more wins to go! Let's go, Yanks!"
Yankee Trails will offer a bus for Game 2 on Tuesday and for Game 3 of the Dodgers-Mets series on Wednesday. More information can be found on the Yankee Trails website.
