A rebellion is in store in ‘Silo’ Season 2 trailer [Watch]
When Apple TV+’s epic sci-fi series “Silo” returns for Season 2 this fall, people will be searching for truth inside and outside of the bunker. Juliette (Rebecca Feguson) is alive above ground and looking for other survivors — and she finds one, in the form of new cast member Steve Zahn — while the inside of the Silo is on the verge of rebellion as the residents demand to know what’s really happening. “I’m not afraid of the rebellion,” says Bernard (Tim Robbins), the Silo’s mayor, who has devoted his life to keeping the populace in line. “I’m more afraid of what she saw.” She saw the truth, and in a world of secrets, there’s nothing more dangerous.
Per Apple TV+, Silo is the story of the last ten thousand people on Earth, their mile-deep home protecting them from the toxic and deadly world outside. However, no one knows when or why the silo was built, and those who try to find out face fatal consequences. Ferguson stars as Juliette, an engineer who seeks answers about a loved one’s murder and tumbles into a mystery that goes far deeper than she could have ever imagined, leading her to discover that if the lies don’t kill you, the truth will.
In addition to Ferguson, Emmy nominee Zahn, and Academy Award winner Robbins, the Season 2 cast includes Academy Award winner Common, Emmy nominee Harriet Walter, Chinaza Uche, Avi Nash, Alexandria Riley, Shane McRae, Remmie Milner, Clare Perkins, Billy Postlethwaite, Rick Gomez, Caitlin Zoz, Tanya Moodie, and Iain Glen. The series is based on a trilogy of novels by Hugh Howey and developed for television by Graham Yost, who serves as showrunner. It was nominated for two Emmy Awards this year, for Outstanding Main Title Design and Outstanding Music Composition for a Series. According to Nielsen, it debuted as Apple TV+’s #1 all-time drama series when it premiered in May 2023, though that title has since been eclipsed by “Masters of the Air.”
“Silo” Season 2 will consist of 10 episodes. It premieres Friday, November 15 with the first episode, followed by new episodes weekly through Jan. 17.
