Lanes reopen after pedestrian killed on Eisenhower in Maywood

All lanes on the Eisenhower Expressway reopened after a pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle early Monday in west suburban Maywood.

Around 4:20 a.m., state troopers responded the outbound lanes of I-290 near 17th Avenue, where they found the victim on the road, state police said.

The unidentified person was dead at the scene, state police said.

Earlier, outbound lanes were closed at 9th Avenue and inbound lanes were closed at 25th Avenue, state police said.

All lanes reopened around 8:45 a.m.
