Tarek El Moussa’s Reaction to His Work Situation With Ex Christina Hall Shows Have Far They’ve Come

If you asked Tarek El Moussa a few years ago if he and his ex-wife Christina Hall would ever be friends, he probably would have laughed in your face. They had a contentious divorce that was followed by quite a bit of public bickering even after their popular HGTV series, Flip or Flop, ended. 

Now that he and Christina are back in business together with their upcoming show, The Flip Off, along with his new wife, Heather Rae El Moussa, his reaction is rather sweet. “Man, I never, ever in my life thought this show would happen,” he told Us Weekly on Thursday, Oct. 10. “Sometimes I’m sitting there, and I’ll have a moment where I look over at Heather, my wife, and I look over to the other side, and there’s my ex-wife, Christina. And I wonder, ‘How did I get here?’”

Heather joked that her husband “does say that a lot” and questioned himself, “He’s like, ‘How did I get here? How am I building with my ex-wife and my wife?’” Christina and Tarek’s heated feud came to a head in May 2022 when the Daily Mail captured a showdown between them along with Heather, and Josh Hall, Christina’s now-estranged husband. The paparazzi caught the entire situation at a children’s soccer game on camera, and it took one of the coaches to stop the drama from unfolding even further. It was an embarrassing moment for all four of them, but son Brayden’s subsequent emergency appendectomy just a day later seemed to bring them all together to end the feud. 

Now that Christina is going through her divorce with Josh, Tarek and Heather have thrown their support in her corner. “Life’s tough, s–t happens,” Tarek told E! News in July. “We got one shot at life and we gotta do what’s best for us, so whatever she needs, we’re here to help.” Heather added, “We support her.” Josh was originally a part of the quad for The Flip Off series, but he was booted amid his split with Christina. 

Instead, Christina and Heather are leaning into the narrative that Tarek has a type when it comes to women — it’s not hard to see that both of his wives look alike. The trio has filmed a series of social media videos joking about the situation. Tarek wrote in the caption of an August post, “I finally got the wife and the ex wife to agree on something… that I do in fact, have good taste.”

It just some time and healing for Tarek and Christina to come together as a family, and they are sweetly making it work.
