Caitlin Clark Had Hilarious Reaction to Missing Hole-in-One

0

Caitlin Clark is making big waves following her first season in the WNBA, winning the 2024 Rookie of the Year award and being selected for the WNBA All-Star Game. But the 22-year-old already has her sights set on her next sport, and showed off her golf skills with a very near hole-in-one. However, Clark took the moment in stride, for the most part, given her competitive nature.

In a video posted to her TikTok account on Monday, where she boasts over 517,000 followers, the Indiana Fever point guard took a swing during a golf outing with her teammate, Lexie Hull.

"Caitlin, that could be a—" Hull exclaims, before the pair begin preemptively celebrating, only to quickly realize that the ball landed "inches away" from the hole. Clark could be seen clasping her hand to her forehead and running around laughing and screaming, before dropping to the ground. "Are we sure it didn't go in?" Hull asks. "No, I can see it," Clark responds.

The video then cuts to the green where her ball can indeed be seen just a few feet from the hole, which she then sunk to make a birdie.

Next month, Clark will compete at Swedish golfer Annika Sorenstam's LPGA Tour event at Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, FL; so perhaps she'll have better luck then.

"I love golf so the opportunity to play in the Pro-Am for a tournament with a legend like Annika Sorenstam’s name on it is so exciting," Clark said in a statement last week, after her participation in the event was first announced. "I’m looking forward to seeing all the LPGA players on the driving range, being part of the Women’s Leadership Summit, and, of course, teeing it up in the pro-am with Annika."
