Voltas, Blue Star among 38 applicants in 3rd round of PLI scheme for white goods

The government has received 38 applications under the PLI scheme for white goods, with investments totaling Rs 4,121 crore. The initiative, primarily targeting AC components and LED lights, aims to boost value addition to 80% and create nearly 48,000 direct jobs by 2028-29.
