Person struck by subway train in Manhattan, 7 line delayed: MTA

MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) -- A person was struck by a subway train in Manhattan Sunday afternoon, causing delays to the No. 7 line, according to the MTA.

Emergency teams responded to the 5th Ave subway station at around 4:39 p.m.

Manhattan-bound 7 trains temporarily stopped at Hunters Point Av or Queensboro Plaza. The No. 7 trains resumed making stops at 5th Ave in both directions at around 6:10 p.m.

PIX11 News reached out to the NYPD regarding the incident. Police say they are still handling the incident and could not provide further information.
