Person, dog found dead after Seaside trailer fire

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- A person and their dog were found dead after a trailer fire in Seaside early Sunday morning.

Just before 2:30 a.m., police and Seaside Fire & Rescue officials originally responded to reports of the fire at the Pine Cove Trailer Park off Highway 101.

On arrival, officers found the trailer with smoking coming from the inside.

Fire crews arrived soon after and police began evacuating residents from other nearby trailers.

Officials said the trailer became fully involved in flames before firefighters were able to put it out around 15 minutes later.

After searching the inside, they found the person and the dog were dead.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, officials said.

No further information has been released at this time.
