Singaporeans Abroad: Ang finishes T4 in his pro event while Foo takes T17 place in China
Oct 14: Ryan Ang, playing in his first event as a professional, posted a final round seven-under-par 65 to finish in tied-fourth place at the CKB WA PGA Championship on the Challenger PGA Tour of Australasia.
The 25-year-old was holding a share of the lead after 12 holes at the Kalgoorlie Golf Course on the final day but slipped out of contention after dropping successive shots on 13 and 14.
He birdied two of his last three holes to eventually finish two shots back of Australia’s Jack Buchanan, who won the title on the second playoff hole.
Gregory Foo, meanwhile, compiled rounds of 64, 72, 71 and 70 to end his week at the Hainan Open in a share of 17th place.
Foo had earlier taken a share of the first round lead at the event which was co-sanctioned between the China Tour and DP World Challenge Tour and played at the Sanya Luhuitou Golf Club.
Over in the Colombia, SGA squad member Bruce Kwong signed off with a 68 to win the Guaymaral Junior Open.
