GN Saibaba, a study in vindictiveness

GN Saibaba, a Delhi University professor, was imprisoned for nearly a decade under suspicion of having ties to banned Maoist organizations. Although initially prosecuted under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act in 2014, he was acquitted twice, once in 2022 and again in 2023, due to insufficient evidence. His case raises questions on the misuse of national security laws.
