Shantanu Naidu, the young millennial friend of Ratan Tata, penned another heartbreaking post on his Instagram handle, three days after the beloved industrialist departed from this world. In his emotional post, Shantanu, a close aide of Ratan Tata, said he was still in disbelief that his mentor and friend was no more.

“Finally getting a chance to sit down and feel things. Still trying to accept the fact that I will never be able to see him smile again or give him a chance to smile,” Naidu wrote.

Shantanu Naidu, 31, who was seen crying inconsolably at Ratan Tata’s funeral earlier this week, also mentioned that he received condolence messages from strangers on Ratan Tata’s passing and thanked users for giving him strength during this time of grief.

“In the last 3 days, I have received so many messages from strangers from across the country. Reading these, it feels as if you and I have been part of the family for years. Every time I thought that the grief would end, a message or gesture from one of you would give me a little encouragement,” said Naidu, the younger General Manager in Tata Group.

He also thanked the Mumbai Police for their tribute to Ratan Tata who was cremated with full state honors on October 10 (Thursday), as the Mumbai cops gave him a fitting send-off with a gun-salute. “These generous policemen of Mumbai were so kind that they embraced the whole city. It felt like a farewell gift. Thank you, that’s what I really mean,” Shantanu added.

Shantanu’s post went viral on the platform, getting over 27k likes within a couple of hours and also drew emotional comments from users.

“Shantanu bhai, he will always be with you. Sir will never leave his friends alone. We all will follow his thoughts. Stay strong brother!,” wrote one user.

“Hope you are feeling better now! Keep smiling and maintain kindness.. I hope his smile and commitment to kindness will remain with you,” said another.

On Thursday, a video of Shantanu Naidu, weeping inconsolably at the Ratan Tata’s funeral went viral on social media, leaving netizens in tears. In the video, Naidu, Tata’s assistant and the youngest general manager at Tata Trust, was seen crying his eyes out as Ratan Tata’s last rites were performed at the electric crematorium in Worli, Mumbai on Thursday evening.
