Cam Talbot stopped 40 shots in his first start for Detroit as the host Red Wings notched a 3-0 win over the Nashville Predators on Saturday night.

Talbot, who signed a two-year contract as a free agent, collected his 32nd career shutout.

J.T. Compher, Andrew Copp and Dylan Larkin each scored for the Red Wings.
