'Who wants to tell her?' Marjorie Taylor Greene blasted after mocking conspiracy theorists

0

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) on Saturday caught heat from critics who mocked her for what they perceived as a lack of self-awareness.

Greene, a top congressional ally to Donald Trump, is known for promoting conspiracy theories. Most recently, for example, she insinuated that Democrats in the government control the weather, and that they used that power to generate hurricanes that hit states that typically vote for Republican candidates.

This weekend, however, she shared a post on social media that caused some onlookers to raise their eyebrows.

Greene posted an image that reads, "Almost everyone in America right now," along with a person wearing a large tin foil hat, a symbol often used to mock those promoting conspiracy theories. In the caption, the GOP lawmaker simply wrote, "Yep."

The responses from Greene's critics came in quickly.

Political commentator Brian Tyler Cohen asked, "

This is literally you. LOL."

Conservative Army Iraq War Veteran Peter Henlein said, "I legit think your function is to attract gullible morons to the GOP."

"Every post you make is like an advertisement that says 'hello idiots, there is a home for you here,'" he then added.

Former MSNBC host Keith Olbermann mocked Greene by comparing her to a Neanderthal.
