He completed his fifty in the first 22 balls. After this, he scored a century. Sanju also hit 5 consecutive sixes in an over. After missing the first ball in Rashid Hossain’s over, he hit 5 consecutive sixes in the last 5 balls.

Sanju Samson came to open in this match. He was showing his attitude from the first over itself. Even after Abhishek Sharma was out, Sanju did not stop and kept attacking the bowlers continuously. Rashid Hossain came to bowl the 10th over for Bangladesh. There was no run on the first ball. But after this, Sanju sent all 5 balls in the stands.

In this match, Yuvraj Singh’s record was almost broken. In the 2007 T20 World Cup, Yuvraj Singh hit 6 sixes in 6 balls against Stuart Broad. If Sanju had also hit a six on the first ball of Rashid, then this record of Yuvraj would have been broken.

Sanju Samson has come second in India in terms of scoring the fastest century. He completed his century in 40 balls. Rohit Sharma holds the record of scoring the fastest century from India. He scored a century in 35 balls. Sanju Samson has also become the first Indian wicketkeeper to score a century in T20 International. No Indian wicketkeeper has done this feat before.
