I remember during the 1990’s when I was in my early twenties I was asleep in bed and I was awakened by a gentle touch to my nose.

When my eyes opened my full-grown dog Brandie was standing beside me with her face directly in front of mine while I lay sideways on the bed.

She had walked over and touched my nose with her nose.
