An asteroid the size of the Golden Gate Bridge is approaching—but should we worry?

A large asteroid named 1998 ST27 is approaching Earth. Despite being potentially hazardous, it will pass by at a safe distance of 3,561,149 kilometers. This asteroid is part of many near-Earth objects tracked by NASA. Recently, the European Space Agency launched a mission to study asteroids for planetary defense.
